Susan Davis Art | artist, painter, illustrator, New Yorker covers, artwork, limited edition signed prints

Pursuing Her Passion

In 1998 and 1999, Susan Davis continued to produce original art even though a malignant brain tumor had paralyzed her right (drawing) arm. She learned to draw and paint with her left hand and did more than two dozen pastels, 2 large and five smaller oils, and a number of small watercolor illustrations with her left hand.

While this work is very different from her original works, they still convey the beauty and light that characterized her work, and are full of the joy and optimism that made her so popular.
